Three Rock Rescue 19/08/14

  • On Tuesday the 19th of August at 21.16hrs both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to come to the assistance of a male who had suffered serious injuries after coming off his mountain bike near Three Rock Mountain. The injured male who was at least 200mtrs off track was treated by HSE personnel before being  packaged onto an MR stretcher and transferred to a waiting ambulance by HSE, Dublin Fire Brigade and Mountain Rescue personnel
  • Rescue 116 was also tasked to the scene and provided overhead light during the course of the operation.
  • The injured male was then transfered to hospital for definitive care.
