Call Out 19: Ballinastoe Rescue 16/05/15

At approximately 17:36hrs on Saturday 16th May, both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to assist the HSE Ambulance Service with an incident in Ballinastoe Woods.

A 37 year old male had suffered upper limb injuries when he came off his mountain bike on one of the dedicated mountain trails. Ambulance paramedics were on scene and had treated and packaged the casualty.

Mountain Rescue responded to the incident and packaged the casualty into a stretcher before carrying him to a awaiting ambulance on a nearby track for transfer to hospital.
