Call Out 43: Lugnaquilla 15/7/17
At 13:01 on Saturday, July 15th, Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist two walkers who became disoriented in low cloud on Lugnaquilla.
Mountain rescue (MR) personnel made contact with the walkers, establishing their location, while others responded to the area. Shortly after making contact with MR, the walkers received assistance from another group who helped guide them off the hill. The walkers made contact once they were safely off the hill and the incident was stood down.
