Call Out 21 Tonelagee Rescue 23/05/15
Whilst both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were responding to An Garda Siochana’s request for assistance for 3 lost Hillwalkers on Lugnaquillia Mountain, a second request for assistance came in for another Hillwalker who had become separated from the rest of his group on Tonelagee Mountain. The group of 3 family members had begun their day at 12.30hrs and had become separated at approximately 16.00hrs.
Members of Mountain Rescue used SARLOC to locate his position. Mountain rescue were then able to guide him to the road where he was picked up by an MR 4×4. He who then reunited him with the rest of his group.
