At 14:20 on the 6th of April An Garda Síochána tasked the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team to come to the assistance of a man on the Wicklow Way in the Paddock Hill area.
The man had become unwell while walking with a group. He was assessed on scene by a Mountain Rescue Advanced Paramedic. He was then stretchered downhill to a waiting Mountain Rescue vehicle and transported to the public road where he was transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital.

The incident was stood down at 16:30.
