Lug Rescue(01/01/11)
Wicklow’s Mountain Rescue teams were this afternoon asked to assist two hillwalkers who became disoriented on Lugnaquilla Mountain in Co. Wicklow when a mist descended on the area leading to poor visibility. The two were guided off the mountain by rescuers who were able to determine their location and best path for retreat using their comprehensive knowledge of the mountains terrain.
Both walkers are safe and sound and the teams have stood down after this, the first callout of 2011.
