Injured Youth Rescued From Kanturk Mountain(10/11/12)

At 4pm today November 10th the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Irish Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were requested by An Garda Síochána to come to the aid of a male youth who was hillwalking in the area of Kanturk Mountain.
The teams established rescue base close to the Glenmacnass Waterfall, which allowed for quick deployment of MR personnel and specialised MR 4×4 vehicles close to the casualty site. Mountain Rescue medics treated the youth and then stretchered him to a waiting Mountain Rescue 4×4 stretcher capable vehicle on the track. The MR vehicle transported the casualty to the road where it was met by a HSE ambulance which transferred the casualty to hospital.
Mountain Rescue would like to thank all those involved in this successful rescue including
