At 14:53 on Sunday, January 21st, Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist a woman with an ankle injury in Glendalough.
The woman hurt her ankle while walking on the Spink and assisting a lost and injured dog off the mountain. She was making her way slowly towards the Miner’s Village assisted by another hillwalker. MR personnel met up with the woman and following assessment by a mountain rescue (MR) advanced paramedic, the woman was assisted from the hill by MR personnel. The dog was carried from the hill and returned to its owner. The incident was stood down at 17:00.
