Call Out 20: Glending Rescue 23/04/16
At approximately 14.03hrs on Saturday the 23rd of April both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to come to the aid of a mountain biker who had suffered an injury while out cycling in Glending woods near Blessington.
Mountain Rescue personnel arrived on the scene to assist HSE Medics who were treating the man. The injured man was stretchered from steep ground to a forest track and carried to a waiting ambulance at the forest entrance. He was then transported to hospital for further care.
