Both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked at approximately 11:00hrs on March 13th to come to the assistance of a mountain biker in Djouce Wood. The unfortunate biker had broken his leg and dislocated his shoulder when he fell from his bike. The biker was treated for his injuries and given pain relief by advanced paramedics from the HSE National Ambulance Service and a Wicklow Rapid Response doctor. He was then packaged in a stretcher and transported to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 12:00hrs.
