At approximately 14.45hrs on Saturday, April 11th both the Glen Of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to come to the assistance of a woman who had taken a fall near Powerscourt Waterfall in Wicklow.
Thankfully, the fall was not too serious and the woman only suffered minor injuries but she had fallen onto rocks and needed to be carried across the river on a stretcher.

After the short carry the woman was transferred to the waiting HSE for transport to hospital for further care.
