Great Sugarloaf Rescue 26/09/14
- On Saturday the 26th of September at approximately 12.37hrs both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the HSE to come to the assistance of a woman in her early 30’s who had become unwell while out walking on the Great Sugarloaf with her family. The woman was treated on scene by HSE medics. Mountain Rescue personnel assisted in extracting her from the scene, by way of stretcher, to a waiting HSE ambulance. She was then transferred to hospital where she received definitive care.
