News Release: American Tourist Rescued From Glendalough
At 3pm today, December 18th the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Irish Red Cross Mountain Rescue team where requested by An Garda Síochána to come to the aid of American woman in her 40’s who had become unwell while walking in Glendalough. Co. Wicklow
The woman, a tourist from California who had been walking on one of the marked trails in Glendalough complained of feeling unwell and fatigued. She was met my mountain rescue personnel in the Miners village where they assessed and treated her. Shortly after she was evacuated via a Wicklow National Parks 4×4 vehicle to the Glendalough Hotel.
