Call Out 41: Evac Assist 03/07/16
At approximately 11.42hrs on Sunday 3rd of July both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to assist Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 116.
Rescue 116 were responding to a call to airlift a female cyclist from the Glendasan area. A HSE Ambulance was already on scene. As there was nowhere suitable to land MR personnel were called in to supervise and assist at Laragh GAA Pitch which was deemed suitable. The causality was transferred to the GAA Pitch by Ambulance and then airlifted to hospital for definitive care.
