Three rock rescue(10/08/11)

Today, Wed 10th August 8pm a call for assistance went out to Mountain Rescue Teams. A mountain biker in her early 20’s, was mountain biking with a group and fell while decending a rocky path on 3 Rock Mtn. sustaining head and arm injuries.  The ambulance service was able to access the tracks and a paramedic was on scene quickly to provide medical aid.  Mountain Rescue Teams followed and stretcher-carried the injured woman down to the forest road.

She was quickly then transferred to St Vincent’s for further treatment.  The rescue operation was over by 10pm.
Many thanks to all those attending the scene.
