Tibradden Rescue(06/08/11)

Today, Saturday 6th August at 13:40 hrs, The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain rescue team responded to a call from the Gardaí to come to the aid of an injured hill walker.
 
The woman, 83, was out walking with a group of friends on the Dublin Mountain Way when she sustained a lower leg injury.  
Rescue Base was located at Johnny Foxes pub in Glencullen, where rescue team members made their way to the casualty site on Tibradden Mountain. The woman was quickly treated for a lower leg injury before being packaged for a stretcher evacuation. Team members carried the woman to a waiting HSE ambulance where she was despatched to hospital for further treatment of her injuries.

All team members were off the hill by 16:30 hrs
