Stretchered out in Glendalough (20/12/08)

A male Hill-walker (60’s) from Westmeath who was out walking with his two daughters in Glendalough earlier today required the services of the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team after he suffered a lower leg injury on the Spink Mountain.

The call came at 14:05 (Saturday 20/12/08) after man’s daughters and some passers-by had been assisting him down to safety, but fearing causing further damage to his injury, they called Mountain Rescue to help them.

He was treated at the scene for hypothermia and his leg injury and stretcher carried off the Mountain to an awaiting ERHA ambulance.
