Callout 4: Lugnaquilla 14/01/2018

At 16:20hrs on Sunday 14^th January 2018, Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist 5 walkers in their 20’s who became disorientated while descending from Lugnaquilla in poor weather.

The group was located by an MR hill party, and one of the walkers, who had sustained a lower leg injury was assessed by MR medics. They descended via Art’s Lough and were picked up by MR vehicles and transported safely off the hill. The incident was stood down at 20:33hrs.
