On Sunday the 29/09/13 at 16.56hrs both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin/Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team, once tasked by An Garda Siochana, came to the aid of two hill walkers in two separate incidents in Glendalough. In the first incident a 68yr old male out walking with a group sustained a lower leg injury on the blue route. Wicklow Mountains National Park Staff were able to drive close to the scene and bring the injured walker down to safety.
In the second incident a 58yr old male out walking with a group also sustained a lower leg injury. Mountain Rescue stretchered him from the Glenealo Bridge to the Miners Village where he was brought to a waiting HSE Ambulance.
