Glendalough Rescue(13/03/11)

Last Sunday, 13th March, a 16-year old fell in Glendalough while hillwalking.  She lacerated her leg quite badly and needed assistance to return from the mountainside.  Mountain Rescue were called and the Irish Coastguard were alerted.

As the weather was clear and visibility very good, the Sikorsky helicopter was able to airlift the injured girl successfully and evacuate her to hospital.
