Call Out 28: Ballyknockan Search 20/06/15
Shortly before midnight on Saturday the 20th of June both the Glen Of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to help investigate a possible flare sighting over Sorrel Hill.
Mountain Rescue made enquiries with various agencies to try to verify the sighting before sending out a response team. MR personnel met with a witness and members of the Gardai before conducting various road and track searches from Black Hill to Glenbride.
As no further contact or emergency call had been made no further action could be taken and the incident was stood down.
