Call Out 15 Lough Dan Rescue 18/04/15
At approximately 17.00 on Saturday, April 18th the Glen Of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain rescue team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to assist with an injured hiker near Lough Dan in Wicklow.
The young Frenchman had been walking with his family when he slipped and injured his knee. Members of Mountain Rescue were training in the area and happened on the scene just after the mishap and assisted the HSE crew in treating and packaging the injured walker.
A short stretcher carry was all that was required to get the young man to the waiting HSE ambulance which was able to transport him to hospital for further care.
