Mourne Search 26/08/14
At approximately 02:46 on Tuesday 26th August 2014 both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were contacted by the Mourne MRT to assist in a search for 2 overdue walkers.
A father and son had gone camping on Sunday night and were reported overdue when they failed to return home on the Monday evening.
Members of the Mourne Mountain Rescue Team had been searching throughout the night in poor visibility when they tasked the two team’s to assist with the search at first light.
At approximately 05:00hrs the Mourne Team reported they had located the 2 missing persons and both teams were stood down before travelling north.
