Call Out 29: Glendalough Rescue 17/4/17

At approximately 14:20hrs on Monday the 17th of April both the Glen of Imaal Irish Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochána to come to the assistance of a woman in the Lower Lake area of Glendalough.
Using the track system both Mountain Rescue(M.R.) and National Ambulance Service(N.A.S.) personnel accessed the casualty and assessed her injuries. The woman had a lower leg injury. Having administered pain relief medication her leg was splinted, she was placed in a M.R. vehicle and transported to a waiting ambulance and taken to hospital.
