Call Out 43: Cloghleagh Rescue 03/07/16
Later on the same day, Sunday 3rd of July both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to come to the assistance of a man in his 70’s who had taken a fall down a steep bank in Cloghleagh.
The man and his friend had been out walking when the incident occurred. Blessington Fire Service, Air Corps 112 and a HSE Ambulance were also on scene. The man was treated at the site before being stretched to safety. He was then airlifted onto Air Corps 112 before being transferred to hospital for further care.
