Call Out 66: Glendalough Rescue 4/12/16

Call Out 66: At approximately 12.50hrs on Sunday the 4th of December both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to come to the assistance of a man who had suffered a lower leg injury while traversing the area around St. Kevin’s Bed with a group.

National Parks Staff deployed their boat to transport MR personnel to the casualty. Once he had been examined and treated he was transported back to shore via the National Parks boat. He was then released into the care of a friend and the operation was stood down.
