Call Out 44: Wicklow Way Rescue 22/07/16

At approximately 12.00hrs on Friday the 22nd of July both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochanna to come to the assistance of a young woman who was walking the Wicklow Way with her friends.

The woman, who suffered from a pre-existing medical condition, had reached a point where she found it difficult to continue. MR sent in a vehicle to collect her and transport her to a waiting HSE Ambulance. Once she was checked out by the Ambulance crew she was advised not to continue on the Wicklow Way. She was then able to return to her home.

Mountain Rescue would like to thank all agencies involved including: National Ambulance Service and National Park and Wildlife Service
