Call Out 39: Djouce Wood Rescue 22/06/16

Just after 20:30hrs on Wednesday, June 22nd, both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to assist a mountain biker in his 30’s, who had taken a tumble on the trails in Djouce Wood.

Both teams had been training in the area so a quick and substantial response was sent to assist the injured biker and a HSE Ambulance was also tasked. Mountain Rescue personnel quickly accessed the biker and treated him on scene for his injuries. At this stage the ambulance had arrived and he was transferred to hospital for treatment. The incident was stood down at approximately 21:20.
