Call Out 35: Brockagh Rescue 07/06/16

At 20:20hrs on Tuesday, 7th June, The Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to come to the aid of a 38 year old male hill runner on Brockagh Mountain, near Glendalough.

The man had just begun his descent from the summit when he sustained an injury to his left ankle. He was given basic first aid and kept warm by his friends until help arrived.

Mountain Rescue Personnel were dispatched to the scene swiftly. He was treated by M.R. Medical Personnel and evacuated off the mountain by stretcher. The incident was stood down at 22:41.
