Call Out 11: Three Rock Rescue 24/03/16

At approximately 15:00hrs on Tuesday March 24th both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to assist a mountain biker on Three Rock. The young man sustained a lower leg injury while biking on trails in the area. Paramedics and advanced paramedics from Newcastle and Loughlinstown Ambulance Stations were on scene, but due to the inaccessible nature of the location, they requested assistance from Mountain Rescue.

 

MR personnel assisted by packaging the biker onto a stretcher and evacuating him to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 17:08hrs.

Mountain Rescue would like to thank all agencies involved including:  the HSE National Ambulance Service and Irish Coast Guard Rescue 116, who were on standby.
