Shortly after 14:00hrs on Sunday 27th December both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Síochána to come to the assistance of a 10 year old boy who fell from a tree on Bray Head. The boy had been walking with his family when he fell just over two metres from the tree he’d been climbing.
Advanced Paramedics, from both HSE National Ambulance Service and mountain rescue (MR), assessed and treated the boy’s injuries. MR personnel stretchered the boy to a waiting ambulance. The incident was stood down at 15:40hrs.
Mountain Rescue would like to thank all agencies involved, including: HSE National Ambulance Service and An Garda Síochana.
