Call Out 07: Glenealy Rescue 14/02/15

On Saturday 14th February. At 12:10, both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by the HSE to respond to an incident involving a Lady in her 50’s who had fallen from her horse in a wooded area near Glenealy Village. The casualty had suspected spinal injuries and was treated at the scene by HSE Paramedics. Mountain Rescue Personnel packaged and evacuated the casualty by stretcher to Rescue 116, the Coast Guard Helicopter which had been able to land in a nearby field.
The Incident was stood down at 13:49.
