Black Hill Search 30/11/14
Just before 15.30 on Sunday, November 30th both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked to assist a man who had become disorientated while walking on Black Hill in West Wicklow.
Mountain Rescue Personnel returning from a previous callout were sent to assist the him.One hill party approached from the main car-park north of Black Hill while another hill party approached from the west. Dense fog made navigation difficult for the man but regular phone contact was maintained until he was able to see the blue lights of an MR 4×4 after which he was escorted a short distance off the hill before being returned to his car.
