Bray Head Rescue 16/06/14

  • On Monday, June 16th at approximately 16.20hrs both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and the Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Garda Siochana to come to the assistance of a young man who had fallen near Bray Head and sustained a lower leg injury.
  • Friends of the casualty helped direct mountain rescue personnel to his exact location. At this point he was treated for his injury and prepared for evacuation.
  • Mountain Rescue personnel worked alongside a HSE Advanced Paramedic to help keep the man as comfortable as possible before he was airlifted by the Coast Guard S92 helicopter and transported to hospital for definitive care. All teams were stood down at 19.15.
