Wicklow Gap Rescue 03/05/14
- On Saturday 03/05/14 The Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist a Red Cross ambulance crew who were treating a female competitor in a cycle race who had come off her bicycle while descending down toward Glendalough on the Wicklow Gap road. The woman in question had received injuries in the accident. Both Red Cross ambulance crew and Mountain Rescue medics worked together in treating her. A short while later a HSE ambulance with an Advanced Paramedic arrived on the scene. The woman was placed in the HSE Ambulance and transported to Hospital for definitive care.
